Real Estate Buyer Trends

According to a recent NAR survey, 73% of all buyers expect a 10% or more appreciation in the next 5 years.

The survey asked 1004 buyers about their thoughts on their purchase.

Here’s the highlights:

  • 1 out of 8 buyers are planning on buying for investment.
  • 25% of buyers are buying or plan to buy foreclosure (THIS MEANS THAT 75% of the buyers are planning on buying from a HUMAN!)
  • 57% of the Foreclosure Buyers plan to live in them (while a much larger portion of them fraudulently use primary resident financing to obtain them)
  • Of those 75% that expect 10% or more, 23% expect a 20% increase!
